December Monthly Update
Welcome to the December monthly update blog! And to 2024! I hope we have an exciting year ahead of us, with many goals in mind! Personally I’m not a big fan of New Years resolutions. If you want to change, start doing it when you want to change, don’t wait for the new year to do so. Regardless, I’m going to be sharing quite a bit in this blog because it’s not only going to include the December update, but also the goals for Drowning In Dreams Studios in 2024.
December Update
I hate to keep saying this in each blog, but my own life has been incredibly busy. I got married! I also got a new job! And trying to move countries! I hope that those are all very good reasons for being busy and you can forgive me. One thing that was done is that I’m done Google’s Project Management course on Coursera! It is out of the way and no longer taking up any more of my precious time.
Another big update was that development on Inner Demons (temp name) started. This is a project that I hold close to my heart, Shared below is the dev update video. This project is going to be the focus going forwards. Daughter of Bones has been put aside for now, I feel like the project has lost it’s way and needs to be re-thought. But that’s a project for another day, when I have more inspiration for the game.
In terms of content, I’ve set up a system for video releases to be more smoother and on time. I also have a lot more ideas for other videos, as well as digital content for sale, such as courses, how-to coaching sessions, etc. There’s a lot that I could do, and it just needs to be written out in more detail.

Bear and Breakfast | Let's Play Ep. 2 | Unlocking the Garbage Dump! We’re continuing the playthrough of Bear and Breakfast. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of this game.
Inner Demons - Update 1 | Beginning and Movement! This video is a very exciting thing - our very first game development update video. It’s not a lot, but it’s the start of a game that I hope will touch thousands worldwide. If you watch one video, watch this one. Please.
Chicken Journey Let's Play - Ep. 1 | Start of a Journey This is another game that we’re starting. It’s about a chicken who goes on an adventure to find out which came first, the chicken or the egg. I feel like it’s a shorter game (still several hours long) and the puzzles are definitely fun. A lot of thought went into this game, and can’t wait to continue it! The second episode is already out!
2024 Goals and Moving Forwards
As mentioned above, I have a lot of plans for content going forwards. Videos will still be released every Monday and Friday on YouTube (and shared on our website) for varying topics, such as devlogs, Let’s Plays, etc.. Blog posts for each month are still going to be released at the beginning of each month to keep you guys up to date. Digital content is also on my list. I have several ideas written down, and they include sticker sets, art commissions, varying software ideas, attempt #2 at bullet journal spreads, pay on demand websites, courses, etc. This is not just for 2024 but even past then. Some of this may be passed on, and I might move forwards with a solid list to get started on it.
The big goal for 2024 is to get a working prototype of Inner Demons and then potentially release it publicly in 2025. First I need to get the worlds created and tested, and then the art needs to be reworked as right now I’m using free assets but would like to use my own art. Then bug fixing and… done! It seems easier written down in a few basic sentences but I do expect it to take at least the next year.
I’m also stepping it up in terms of social media. Each month I’m planning out what kind of posts I’ll be creating, what I’ll be sharing and more. Woo, marketing! An Instagram account will also be created soonTM, which will essentially reflect Twitter/X as well as the day-to-day of DIDS. It’ll be a lot more relaxed and casual.
