Website (mostly) done!
Woo, drowningindreamsstudios.com is finally done! Well, for the most part. There’s still some sections that are blank, however those are for future projects listed. I’ll be hiding them for now.
It’s been quite a good week in terms of work and how much I got done. This website definitely took the majority of it. You don’t realize how much time items take until you start to do it, and then go “this project was so much bigger than I thought it was”. It’s like getting a new hobby and then having to buy 100 things for it, and it just takes over your whole workspace for a bit. I finished my website on time too, which felt good.
One thing I’m very excited about as well is getting my store up and running. I added all my resin pieces that I’ve made, even though right now I’m in the US and they’re back in Canada. I also added my very first digital file download! It’s a zipped file filled with some pixel fruit that I’ve been doing for practice in Aesprite, and as simple as that is, it does feel like I’ve accomplished something.
I was hoping to get this stuff done a little earlier in the week, and this weekend would be spent on Daughter of Bones (a new 2D Roguelike I’m working on!), however that’s okay. Still getting the hang of scheduling how long things take.
Keep checking the stop for new uploads as well! I've made some massive lists of everything I want to create. I feel so inspired right now. Next steps are to prep for next week, create a streaming schedule and a content-creation schedule!
